Types of Sources For Research Papers
Types of Sources For Research PapersThe types of sources for research papers have many variations, but the basic categories include grants, government programs, academic institutions, corporations, personal associations, and nonprofits. All of these sources can be used to produce good research papers. The two primary differences are the quality of each source and the amount that they will cost you.Grants, a common form of funding, have several advantages. First, grants are given out by many different sources and secondly, most of these sources are nonprofit. However, grants do come with their own disadvantages; first, the cost of obtaining a grant may be a higher rate than the cost of the research paper itself.Government programs are another form of sources for research papers. These sources are often given out in lieu of specific funds, such as to hire or buy a book or computer equipment. However, the government programs have an equally important advantage; these programs offer high quality research papers without needing to undergo peer review.Academic institutions are yet another source of research papers. They offer professional research assistantships, research grants, and research assistantships for multiple subjects, among other things. They may also work with individuals, such as post-graduate students, as well as agencies and associations. Most institutions offer three types of sources for research papers; grant, dissertation and non-dissertation (test, tutorial, or research).Corporations, on the other hand, are private sources for research papers. These sources often offer research papers with less cost than those that come from institutions or governments. Corporations will not provide an in-depth report, but they are able to provide more detailed reports for grants and government programs.Personal associations are often used by college students to fund their college research projects. These associations will often work in conjunction with corporatio ns and government agencies. One of the major disadvantages of using a personal association is that they are often closed. You will not receive support when you need it most, for example, during your last few weeks of college.Nonprofits, on the other hand, are a private source. They are often set up by a company that has recognized the worth of a certain cause, such as promoting the sexual wellness of young women. Nonprofits require specific funding to set up a program, such as a bookstore or a small swimming pool, so they will often request specific amounts, such as for education or a specific service.Sources for research papers vary widely and all require some research to determine which type is best for you. The two main types of sources for research papers are grants and private sources, but any source can be used if the project is valuable enough.
